###Bio

**Daniel Hamill, **is a research assistant for the ET-AL at Utah State University. Daniel earned a degree in Environmental Engineering from Northern Arizona University in 2013. While he was obtaining his undergraduate degree he worked as a Math and Science Tutor at a Coconino Community College and a Hyrdological Technician for the US Geological Survey Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center (GCMRC). After graduation he continued to work for GCMRC as a physical science technician and worked on the channel mapping group.


Projects

  • MS Thesis: Physical aquatic habitat mapping in Grand Canyon

    • Develop a methodology for producing near continuous substrate classification maps from a low- cost side scan sonar.
  • Engineering Capstone:

    • Structurally and chemically characterized paper pulp sludge, a by-product paper mill operations, to design a cost effective landfill cap for use at Cinder Lake Landfill, Flagstaff, AZ
