Background:
- BS, 2008: Geology and Geophysics, Boston College
- MS, 2010: Earth Sciences, Dartmouth College
- PhD, 2015: Watershed Sciences, Utah State University
Research Interests:
- Relative influence of natural and anthropogenic processes on sediment dynamics in rivers
- High-resolution topographic surveying of fluvial environments
- Developing simplified relationships between channel morphology and sediment transport/deposition sites
- Understanding topographic signatures of geomorphic processes in repeat digital elevation model surveys
Current Research:
- Development of simplified morphodynamic models for gravel-bed braided rivers
- Understanding the relative utility of channel classification frameworks in watershed management
- Documenting particle travel distances via laboratory flume studies and ultra-high-resolution geomorphic change detection
- Quantifying the relative role of background and disturbance-related forcings on large woody debris delivery to mountain channels.
